Vintage and very popular booklet from the early 20th century for tourists to use as they toured Yosemite National Park. Based on a penciled inscription on inside cover, appears to have been owned by Nellie Van Ness who was married to a famous train robber. The guide describes sights to see and places to eat, and places to lodge. The fold-out tissue paper map is intact and in great condition. With the advertisements for hotels, a delicatessan and ice cream parlor, and a "Pioneer Photographer" studio makes this a true time capsule.
1915 Foley's Yosemite Souvenir & Guide
Very good condition for its age and intended use. Fully intact with no missing pages or tears. Some faint writing in pencil on the outer and inner cover adds to its character and history. Binding is loose with the front cover showing a gap, otherwise pretty on the rest of the pages. Please see photos for exact condition.
